My Story.
carlo navarro, founder.
I didn’t set out to build a company. I set out to be a better sports dad.
As a former athlete, I thought I knew sports. But when my own kids started competing, I realized knowing how to play didn’t mean I knew how to parent an athlete.
In the moments that mattered—the car ride after a tough loss, the breakfast before a big game—I didn’t have the right framework. I’d default to clichés or add pressure when my kids needed support.
So I got to work and studied over a year of countless resources, trainings, interviews, and books to build a framework that would work for my kids. I ended up developing what is now the RISE Method™—a simple framework that helps young athletes regulate emotions, build awareness, strengthen self-talk, and take action in the moments that shape them.
Audacity Sports isn’t just a platform. It’s a movement to help athletes, parents, and coaches show up differently—starting with the mental game.
Why Now?
After decades working in marketing and social media, and coaching young athletes, I’ve witnessed firsthand the detrimental effects of constant comparison and digital validation on their development. Youth athletes today are navigating pressures my generation never faced—every mistake captured on video, every setback analyzed in group chats, every achievement measured against highlight reels that flood their feeds.
The need for mental resilience in a world of relentless social comparison isn’t just growing—it’s heading for a collision. But the catalyst for Audacity Sports wasn’t abstract concern; it was personal. When my own son experienced not getting playing time and it visibly affected him, I didn’t have the answer.
As a former athlete, I could teach him technique. As a marketing executive, I could teach him strategy. But in that moment when he needed tools to process disappointment, regulate his emotions, and rebuild his confidence—I had nothing.
That gap between what our kids face and what we’re equipped to give them became impossible to ignore. Audacity Sports was born from that moment of inadequacy, built on the conviction that young athletes deserve better than clichés and pressure when what they need most is a framework for resilience.
